LOOK OUT!
Normal route is below but please note until August 2008 the road between Ludlow town centre and the A49 is closed for bridge repairs until August. If you are coming from the direction of Leominster you should take the A49 to the round about at the Henley Road/ Clee Hill (A4117) turnings and take the first exit signposted to Ludlow town centre and Ludlow hospital. The road will then vere sharply to the left at the post office which is part of the new diversion route. Do not follow the road around. Drivers actually need to carry straight over and then, when they reach the mini roundabout, turn right onto Fishmore Road.
From the North and north west: follow the A49 from Shrewsbury. Take the turn to Ludlow and Bridgenorth. Head towards Ludlow town centre and take the first left hand turn towards Bridgenorth, and at the next roundabout turn left onto Fishmore Road. The hotel is half a mile up that road on your right, after the golf course.
From Birmingham and the M5: leave at junction 3 and head west on the A456 through Kidderminster. Follow the A4117 towards Cleobury Mortimer and at the large roundabout at Rocks Green go straight ahead into Ludlow town centre. At the first roundabout, turn right onto Fishmore Road. The hotel is half a mile up that road on your right, after the golf course.
From the south: follow the A49 from Leominster or take junction 5 off the M5 and follow the A38 for several miles until you reach the A49. At the t-junction turn right towards Ludlow and Shrewsbury. Take the first road left signposted to Ludlow town centre and Richard’s Castle. Follow this into the town turning right immediately after the bridge and traffic lights. Follow this road along the riverside until you reach the top of the hill. Go across the traffic lights, and down the hill towards another bridge. Take the next right after the bridge then left at the mini roundabout up Fishmore road for ½ mile. The hotel is on the right hand side after the golf course.
